Builder of a global movement to reduce food waste

"We help changemakers to develop their own social enterprises to reduce food waste."

Who are you?

I'm a passionate sustainable entrepreneur. After graduating in 2013, I started my Green Sense Tour: an 11-months journey to get an idea, contacts and experience to start my own sustainable business. I did projects in various sustainable enterprises in Turkey, Morocco, Burkina Faso and France and founded local MakeSense communities. At the end of my journey, I travelled Europe, meeting entrepreneurs and organizations that reduce food waste or use food surplus. There, the idea of the FSE Network was born: a European learning community of these entrepreneurs. We support food surplus entrepreneurs by facilitating exchange, collaboration and visibility. On the other hand, we're supporting cities to reduce food waste and help changemakers todevelop their own social enterprises to reduce food waste.

Why are you part of Generation T?

I can offer in-depth expertise on food waste and how to reduce it. I can help other sustainable entrepreneurs with contacts and practical tips. I can offer my Dream Building Workshops - helping people to discover the intersection of talents, what they enjoy and how they can change the world. I'm a genuine community builder.

A specific example on how your project or activities make a difference and initiate change:

With the Food Surplus Entrepreneurs Network I’m enabling a lot of small organisations and initiatives to combine forces and I help people to start projects reducing food waste. Furthermore, I help people to discover their own talents and passions (Dream Building workshops and coaching). During my Green Sense Tour I energized a lot of people to do similar thing by writing and blogging about it.
