Who are you and what do you do?

Why are you doing this?

I am a stylist and consultant specialising in sustainability and image building.  I started as personal shopper (before I worked in international fashion for 3 years) and experienced a little surprise about how people buy and perceive clothing. I wanted to help people look better, empower them and help them make better choices and therefore do not over consume. This indirectly leading to adjustment of retail and fashion industry itself.

What motivates you to do this?

I see the results I see that my public speaking engages magazines to write more about sustainable consumption in fashion about how cool sustainable fashion is, about why personal style is important. I see more and more people giving it a try. Even companies who want to introduce a uniform in their companies want it to be more of a sustainable solution (how it's made and what it does on psychological level).

What’s the bigger picture?

I would like to apply psychology in fashion, empower people to look great and feel great and create a great visibility and basis for sustainable fashion here in Belgium. I am also working on launching a capsule collection (sustainable of course) to create a basis layer in women's wardrobes that their can easily combine with other items.

How do you inspire others?

I thing the way I tell a story and make people believe they can do it themselves starting today. But is a light an entertaining way. I live what I preach, that convinces them.

What competences would make you a good Generation T?
