Entrepreneur and founder of WijDelen vzw and Peerby.be
"I am trying to change people’s habits to borrow more stuff instead of buying it new."
Who are you?
I'm a young entrepreneur and founder of WijDelen vzw and Peerby.be. I am trying to change people’s habits to borrow more stuff instead of buying it new. In doing so we want to bring people closer together. We want to counter the consumerism in our society, which is very costly and also contributes a lot to pollution, and to the exhaustion of the world’s resources.
Why are you part of Generation T?
With my creative, hands-on ideas and projects I can inspire people to take part and action to change the world around us.
A specific example on how your project or activities make a difference and initiate change:
We (my business partner Ludo and I) became the winners of the "radicale vernieuwers" by promoting Peerby. We inspire people to borrow stuff instead of buying it. We give presentations, examples of good practice and we connect a lot of people, companies and organizations on the forefront of transition in Belgium.
